Crash-landing into the spotlight of Westfield’s 2025 Christmas campaign, ‘Creatures of Christmas’, launched earlier this month via AKQA, Disney’s beloved blue alien Stitch is spreading his trademark mischief across Westfield destinations in Australia and New Zealand this festive season.

First spotted at Sydney’s Bondi Beach breaking free of his crate and wreaking his uniquely cute havoc among the Bondi Bathers Surf Live Saving Nippers, Stitch has set his sights on gatecrashing the season’s most important arrival: Santa Claus. Welcoming Santa for his annual arrival at Westfield to kick off his festive duties; Stitch has now placed himself at the centre of Westfield’s ‘Creatures of Christmas’ campaign, spreading his utterly lovable Christmas cheer with Westfield customers.

Westfield’s ‘Creatures of Christmas’ campaign brings the magic of Christmas to life in a light-hearted and relatable way. Stitch joins five funny and perhaps familiar characters, who celebrate the wonderfully human side of the season; The Once-a-Year Festive Chef, The Every-Angle Memory Maker, The Sneaky-Peek Gift Snooper, The Sleigh-All-Day Outfit Changer and The Surf-Before-Santa Morning Ripper.

Says Amy Copley, Head of Marketing, Brand and Content, Scentre Group: “We’re very proud to welcome all creatures of Christmas to celebrate the festive season with us at Westfield. This year is no different, except for a very special creature, Disney’s Stitch, gatecrashing Santa’s arrival and our ‘Creatures of Christmas’ campaign, complete with his trademark mischief and sweetness. While Stitch may have caused a little Christmas chaos by crashing Santa’s arrival at Bondi Beach, we’re looking forward to seeing the joy he brings our customers as he pops up across Westfield destinations and channels this festive season.”

Says Tara McKenty, Chief Creative Officer, AKQA: “Stitch has joined as one of our Christmas creatures and crashed our campaign to spread the spirit of ‘ohana, reminding us of what’s important at this time of year.”

Says Bethan Jones, Executive Director, Brand Commercialisation, Disney Consumer Products ANZ: “Stitch has captured hearts around the world and continues to be one of Disney’s most loved and top-performing characters in the consumer products space. We’re thrilled to see him bring that same playful spirit to Westfield’s Christmas campaign in Australia, spreading a little mischief, a lot of heart, and plenty of holiday cheer.”

‘Creatures of Christmas & Stitch’ forms part of Westfield’s ongoing collaboration with Disney, delivering a captivating calendar of experiences designed to immerse customers and fans in the enchanting world of Disney. Together with Disney, Westfield has celebrated three favourite Disney franchises in 2025: Marvel, (‘Imagine the Adventure’), Frozen, (‘Imagine the Magic’) and Cars, (‘Imagine the Thrills’).

Developed in collaboration with AKQA, EssenceMediacom and Ogilvy PR, Westfield’s ‘Creatures of Christmas and Stitch’ will appear across Nova Radio, Spotify, Meta, Pinterest, YouTube and OOH partners including oOh!, JCD and QMS in Australia and oOh!, JCD, Phantom, Mediaworks and MoreFM in NZ.
